$25,000 in Teaching Scholarships Available for 2009

Teacher Federal Credit Union is proud to show its ongoing support of the teaching profession by once again awarding up to ten teaching scholarships. The scholarship awards are $2,500 each.

Eligibility
Up to five scholarships shall be awarded to each of the following groups:

• Undergraduate juniors and seniors majoring in education at any accredited college or university

• Graduate students making a career change to teaching who are enrolled in a teaching licensure program

Qualifications
The applicant must be a member of Teacher Federal Credit Union in good standing and must be a primary member on their own account. If you are not already a member, check our Membership Eligibility List to see if you are eligible to become a member. In addition:

• applicants for an undergraduate scholarship must have a 2.5 grade point average or higher during their first two years of college;
• applicants for a graduate student scholarship must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Deadline for Applications
The application must be received no later than 5:00 PM on Friday, March 6, 2009. No exceptions will be made for late entries. Winners are notified by mail in early April and formally recognized at the TFCU Annual Meeting.
